Ok... I got really lazy to post this one because we took SOOO many pics! So I saved my draft and now I can't add pics. So summarize...
Last stop was at my brothers house where we stayed until early hours of the morning. I played my very first game of Texas Hold 'Em and WON thank you very much! They say iwas beginners luck... I say it's skill! hahahah just kidding! It was probably the bottle of champagne sitting on the table that I finished! I had a pic of that too. oh well.
We played pool upstairs... som played video games upstairs... and then of course everyone was always going back and forth to the kitchen to snack. It was great hanging out with all my relatives like that!! Like old times.... Good times!

I'm freakin behind. oh well. I only have one reader anyway... that I know of. hahaha! Sorry Irene. Alright... backtracking... AGAIN.
The weekend Nov. 17-19, 2006, we (me, Manoy Mark, Brian, Rachelle, Jose, Lupe and IJ) head to Dallas to take the ABOC (American Board of Opticianary Certifcation). Actually, Rachelle, Lupe and IJ came just to come. They didn't take the test.
So the test was on Sunday but we left Friday night. The "plan" was to get to Dallas Friday night with time to go out, study some Saturday, go out Saturday night, test Sunday morning. Uh... yeah. Not so much.
Well I rode with Brian Friday and we didn't get to Dallas until almost 1am. So much for "going out." Ok ok ok I take that back. We did hang out for about 30 mins at
Firewater.
Ok, this pic I took b/c it was HILARIOUS! Lupe was obviously drunk. And he kept talking and talking and TALKING about hit girl issues. Anyway, so my brother (as the night went on) got more and more UNinterested! It was so funny b/c as the night progressed he was leaning further back more and more and Lupe was leaning in more and more.
So we get back to the hotel and everyone still drinks a little bit and IJ actually tries to show us how to "crimp walk." Call me old, but until that night that was the first time I've even heard that term. So... anyway.
Saturday rolls around and I get up early and meet my brother downstairs in the lobby to study at about 10 am. Well actually, he was there since 8am! Lupe leaves the room at about 9 am to head to his car to talk on the phone (as usual). Jose and IJ are asleep and we assume Brian and Rachelle left to go get breakfast and maybe study b/c Brian's car was not next to Lupe's where he parked it last night. Closer to noon (everyone still doing what they were doing 2 hourse earlier) my brother gets a call from Brian sounding like the just woke up. So my brother is all, "Did you just wake up? We thought you guys left since your truck isn't here." Yes, that is where it all begins. Long story short, someone stole Brian's truck.
On the bright side, the cops found it... on bricks. What the ghetto, right? Here are a couple pics...
Apparently they broke his steering column to drive it off to this spot about 2 miles from the hotel. Jacked all his wheels (even the spare) and almost emptied out the truck. they even took out testing pencils! Luckily they didn't take his paycheck. With his paycheck and mapquest directions to the hotel, the cops were able to put two and two together and tracked Brian down at the hotel. Since the only other car we had was Lupe's... Brian, Rachelle and Lupe spent the ENTIRE day taking care of this mess. It really sucked for them. Brian had to get new wheels (well not new really... just something to roll on). AND he had to get a new battery. They stole that too! They started the car, then took the battery out and rewired it so that it was still running. SO... he had to get all that fixed. I felt really bad for him.
In the meantime, we (me, Manoy Mark, Jose and IJ) were back at the hotel trying to study, watching moveis and just haning out. Mind you, Manoy Mark and I had been studying since 8-10am and it was now almost 8pm! So we were majorily hungry with no car. We were waiting for the others to get back, but I think they AND us were too hungry to wait until then. So we ordered pizza. and hung out until we fell asleep.

Last Saturday

What a weekend
Ok... so I've kind of procrastinated on my blog thingy. whoops. well shoot, you can read Irene's blog to get the details! Ok but let's back track a little.
So last Frida
y (Nov. 10) we go out to Muna's house for a small house party but really it's to meet Jewell, Irene's new man! Whew! Hadn't done that in a long time! Having a party like that, that is! Had some drinks (ahem...) played some games, had some REAL interesting talks. Good Times. Oh! And I brought my karaoke and Muna's TV is weird! It wouldn't work! Her TV outlet SAID "VIDEO 4" yet... her and Shine were like, "We don't have a video 4." But some people were REALLY determined to get the damn karaoke working. It was quite a few people, too, might I add.
That's right... the answer is no. hahaha... So what does that prove? My man was smart enough to stay out of it. HAHAHA! Just kidding! It proves... it just wasn't meant to be a karaoke night! So we played Scene It! Movie and we KILLED that game! hahaha... ok ok ok...
Ok... now the one with Irene and Jewell where he is making the Hawaiin sign... hahaha!! Funny... anyway! So as I'm posting this I'm watching TLC right? It's about some littel girl born with some face defects and long story short, she can't talk. So she has to learn sign language. They show some kids sign language program and gues what the lady in the video is doing? THAT SIGN!!!! Apparently it means "play."
