Re: 10 Year Reunion

Just go back and read what I wrote on December 14, 2006. It's a while back, but I didn't "blog" too much between then and now. Ok. So this blog is regarding that.

Apparently that blog of mine has offended and/or insulted quite a few people. I don't know about you (whoever you are) but I am shocked... shocked that anyone (except Irene) is even reading my blog! Ok, but that is not the point of this blog. The point is I have unintentionally offended/insulted quite a few people including Michaela (from myspace) who's dad runs and owns The Swinging Door, the Reunionscoop.com and Class Act folks, and Amalyssa (class rep)... or so it was said I am insulting her. Not sure if she is upset or not.

This morning, I got an email form Jay at Reunion Scoop/Class Act to tell me how offending and insulting my blog is and that I should delete or change it.

Ok, first things first. I am not going to delete or change that blog in any way. What would my own personal blog be if I could not get personal in it? It shows my thoughts, opinions and feelings from that day. And just as we cannot go back and change the past, but instead live and learn in the present, I will not go back and change or delete that blog. Plus, it's kind of cool sometimes to see who and how you were then and now.

However, I can and will apologize for anyone that was offended and/or insulted as that was not my intention. Yes, you can say I "spoke" before thinking, but that is how I blog. I'm sure everyone at one time or another has had a first reaction that they later felt might not have been the best one. Well here's one of mine.

As I have already expressed to all those named above, I am sure the Swinging Door is a great place, with great food. I admit it was not what I had imagined, but then again what do I know about reunions more than what I see in movies? I always thought it was either a semi-formal event or one held at the high school. To the Reunion Scoop/Class Act folks and Amalyssa, I am sure you know what you are doing and do not question your ability to do your job.

Fortunately, Jay from Reunion Scoop/Class Act has already accepted my apology and we are on the same page. Oh and I should say that he did come back to say in so many words that he respects my right to express my opinion on the location, but just did not want me to insult anyone involved.

That being said, I hope I haven't left anyone feeling insulted or offended by that blog. After all, the people involved in the reunion is what makes the reunion, not the location.

I do have more thing to say. I can't help but feel a little bit like Isaiah Washington right now.
